Joint Small Business Credit Survey, 2014
Results from the Joint Small Business Credit Survey, a collaboration among the Federal Reserve Banks of New York, Atlanta, Cleveland and Philadelphia, found significant differences in credit demand across firm size segments during the first half of 2014. The report also highlighted the difficulty many small businesses have accessing credit.

The New York Fed sponsored a pilot video contest in the Greater Rochester area about jobs in demand. The contest challenged teams of college students from Monroe Community College, Finger Lakes Community College and Genesee Community College in the Greater Rochester Area to produce 30-second videos about middle-skill occupations.

School Outreach Initiative
The School Outreach Initiative brings New York Fed staff into high school and community college classrooms to give accessible and informative 45-minute presentations on such topics as the role of the Federal Reserve, its history and monetary policy.
High School Fed Challenge
High School Fed Challenge
The High School Fed Challenge is a competition where teams of students play the role of monetary policymakers by analyzing economic conditions and recommending a course for monetary policy. Students from Susan E. Wagner High School won the Maiden Lane division of the 2015 Challenge while students from Bergen County Academies took the top prize in the Liberty Street division.

College Fed Challenge
The College Fed Challenge is a team competition for undergraduates inspired by the working of the Federal Open Market Committee. The 2015 competition is underway with the semi-finals and finals for the Maiden Lane and Liberty Street divisions in mid-November.
